The Senior User Researcher in our Insight and Evidence Team will focus and lead on:

  • Delivering user research consultancy for corporate partners to improve accessibility and inclusion in their products and services
  • Running the full end-to-end research process, including, for example, participant recruitment, incentive payments, and managing all associated admin tasks independently
  • Leading user research for RNID’s own digital and service design projects
  • Developing RNID’s research consultancy portfolio and contributing to new business proposals

The Insight and Evidence Team plays a critical role in RNID’s mission to create lasting change for people who are deaf, have hearing loss or tinnitus. By generating robust, user-centred evidence, we influence product design, service delivery, and policy. This role strengthens our consultancy offer, expands our impact through partnerships, and ensures our own services are inclusive and effective.

You will be responsible for…

  • Managing end-to-end user research projects, both internally and for external clients, as part of the wider research team but as the only UX researcher at RNID.
  • Scoping and quoting for new consultancy work, aligning with RNID’s strategic priorities.
  • Improving research practices and embedding inclusive design principles across RNID
  • Working closely with the Corporate Partnerships team to develop new opportunities
  • Supporting colleagues and building research capacity across the organisation

You will: 

  1. Lead qualitative and quantitative user research projects end-to-end, delivering high-quality insights that shape inclusive products and services.
  2. Scope and quote for new consultancy work, aligning research goals with client needs and RNID’s strategic priorities.
  3. Develop and manage relationships with corporate partners, contributing to proposals and identifying new opportunities.
  4. Lead user research for RNID’s own digital and service offerings, embedding UX principles and accessibility throughout.
  5. Collaborate across teams to embed inclusive, evidence-led design into RNID’s work.

You 

You’re an experienced and strategic user researcher who thrives in client-facing environments. You’re confident leading projects independently, communicating insights clearly, and applying inclusive design principles. You’re proactive, collaborative, and passionate about using research to drive meaningful change for people who are deaf, have hearing loss or tinnitus.

Qualifications 

No formal qualifications are required for this role. We welcome applications from candidates with relevant professional experience and a strong track record in user research.
